I used purple and green, again, to make this card.
SUPPLIES: -Copic Markers (Purple, Light Green and Lilac) -Black Embossing Powder, Embossing Ink Pad,Heat Gun -Acrylic stamp (Always) by Stampology, Between the Lines, found at Walmart -Old Paper, Concord,[Faded Jeans, Mustard Seed to make green] Distress Ink -Chipboard dots -Label 8 Spellbinder die cut -Flower Punches 1, 1.5 and 2 inches -Cricut Expression & Fabulous Finds cartridge -Green Cardstock, white cardstock -Various patterned papers including Creative Imaginations (purple patterned paper) -Clear Alphabet Stamps by The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby)
I started by stamping the "Always" stamp on standard white cardstock. I don't use ink to stamp it. I stamp the image with Perfect Medium embossing ink pad and then used Black Embossing Powder and heated it up with a heat gun. It gives a nice shine when it hits the light.
Then I got my Copic markers out and colored in all the flourishes and the Always. Next....I took my spellbinder label 8 and cut it out. I stenciled with Old Paper distress ink. I added the word "Smile" under the stamp. I took my Concord distress ink and ran it along the edges. To finish that I added a few chipboard circles imitating the stamped image. I colored them in with Copic markers as well. For the card itself I took a basic 5 x 6.5 inch blank card and added a background paper. I cut that and the 2 rectangles with my Cricut and the Fabulous Finds cartridge. I matted the purple patterned paper from Creative Imaginations with metallic green cardstock.
My Technique for the Flowers To finish, I added 6 flowers. I do this a certain way. I punch 2 of EACH size. Then I take my ink applicator tool and my distress inks and color 1/2 of the flower with purple and the other 1/2 with the blue and yellow ink. (The green ink I had didn't look right so I used the 2 to make green.) After coloring all of them I start to stack. When I put the second 2 inch flower on top of the previous, I put the purple side of the flower over the green side of the flower before. Then I put the first 1.5 in flower on and do the same. I added a jewel in the center to finish.
