Brendan at his 2nd birthday.
Journaling reads: I was not going to have a birthday party for Brendan, at the last sec I changed my mind. I invited our play group - no one was allowed to bring a present. If they did - I had a basket of the worst toys - they had to take one home for as punishment. We were in a severe drought -- I had baby pools set up on the deck for a "pool party". It poured all day. 9 August 1999.
