This is awesome. I also have an obsession like this, but mine is of the the Tudors-especially Anne Boleyn. You have inspired me to complete another LO! Love the Rococo/Baroque feel to this LO. You really hit this one right on- the romantic softness and pastel colors looks like many portraits painting of Marie Antoinette during the 1700's. Favs for sure!
I did this LO for a Vintage Challenge at Pages in Time. I love Marie Antoinette and really think she got the raw end of the deal! The journaling reads;
Ever since I was a child, I have been intrigued by this woman. Married at such a young age and put into the position of Queen of France, She was expected not be a child, but a woman. A woman who had really no idea how to run a country. People were Enchanted by her beauty and charm. Her love of music was well known and she was an expert at playing the harp. Though her husband paid her no mind, and her mother criticized her constantly, Marie Antoinette kept her grace about her.Despite what history has taught us, "Let them eat cake" was actually never proven to be spoken by her. She was accused of treason during the French Revolution and found guilty. She kept her poise to the very end.Her last words were to the executioner as She accidentally stepped on his foot on her way up to the guillotine. "Pardon me Sir, I meant not to do it." She was only 37 years old.
