this is my dd a few days ago in the bath tub.. havin a ball!
i spent hours on this LO... i havent done that in a while!
i made a mini book of all the things my dd is into/loves/hates/says and placed it underneath the brown and purple paper strips (i used really big 3d foam).
i handcut all the swirly border papers and pictures to match the one that craftysprinkles sent me (the cover of the mini book.."grow") that was the hugest pain to cut and cut and cut everything out! i must have made that shape at least 10 times!
i wrinkled my purple strip and attached a blue flower ribbon and on top of that i pleated a purple ribbon, i dont know if u can c the pleating too well here.. i attempted to sew the pleating on.. but after trying for like 30 mins and being no where near done.. i was done trying to handstitch! i ended up using tacky glue to keep the ribbon in place. i love that stuff! :) i did however want a stitching part somewhere so i stitched my brown and purple together in a slanted line kinda pattern.
the letter "b" in my title is actually an upside down "q" but hey.. works for me! i sanded and lightly inked that letter as well.. as for the rest of the title.. its a stamp i found for cheap at michaels! :)
the flowers were also part of a prize i got from sweet destiny for novembers bingo :) thanks girl!
i dont think u can really tell but at the top of the LO there is a handmade butterfly.. made of the prettiest wire and beads! mandy (craftysprinkles) sent me that beauty as well!
the journaling strips that r half in the shadow in this pic read "what do i love about you alexis? everything."
