If you haven't met them this is Augustus McCrae aka Gus (Gus from "Lonesome Dove") and Angus McTavish aka Scottie. Gus is my three yr old longhorn steer and Scottie is my 4yr old Scottish Highlander steer. Gus is actually quite a bit larger bodied than Scottie. The horns on both of them are still growing. Scottie has a shaggy coat all year around, although not as thick in the summer. Gus slicks down in the summer. They both came from a friend who raises longhorns.
