The journaling reads "Sadie, you and I have a new tradition of having Pink Princess Parties. It started when Sam was invited to a classmate's birthday party and you didn't get to go. Grandma found this cute fairy princess outfit and Mom bought us a little cake and we had our own party! You were so excited about your "princess dress". Since then we have had a Pink Princess Party each time Sam is invited out and you don't get to go. Wearing your princess dress makes you so happy that you don't even mind being left behind. Love you, Grandma."
