looks great! I used a CD once.. as well as vellum and the proper vellum tape.. I think the cd gave off a gas and it turned all my vellum tape YELLOW.. I'm so disappointed.. it was such a wonderful page.. Your should be ok no see through things.. I like the CD.. it makes the page so funky.. That must of been an awesome concert!!
Photos from a concert I went to on March 8, 2007 -- I forgot to write the date on here before I took the pic, but I've added it under the bottom right photo.
Journaling: When I found out John Waite would be playing at Austin's -- mere minutes from home -- I knew I had to go, even if I had to go by myself. His was the first concert I ever saw without my parents -- Katie Lear, Heather Kirk, Vicky D'Asto and I saw him at the Holiday Star in August, 1985. Danny Jocic worked there and got me over to where John would be getting on the elevator, so I got his autograph -- pretty exciting for a 17 year old. "Missing You" was huge back then, and John recently re-recorded it as a duet with the exquisite Alison Krauss for his 2007 album, Downtown: Journey of a Heart. John is one of those singers whose voice I just love, no matter what he sings. I have most of his albums and a lot of the Babys' too. Neither Kim nor Darla could make it, but I talked Anne Hoffman into meeting me there. It was an amazing, intimate show, and I was able to stand right up front.
This is for Week 2 of the January Monthly Sketch Challenge, and I did the twist to use something on the layout that isn't a normal scrapping supply. I used a CD. There are also 5 little mirrors on the scallops. They don't look very reflective in this photo, but they are really pretty IRL.
