This is definitely an important life skill! FINALLY another contest LO from you. Wouldn't you believe the day that I let myself get behind in the gallery... you post. Well, I'm catching up now and this is just awesome. You have my vote. Oh wait, we're not voting are we?
I love this lo! Love the pp(have some), the pics are adorable and all the little embellishments are great, the journaling ties everything together perfectly. LOVE IT! LOVE IT!
Oh Shelly, there are seriously so many little things that I love about this. I'll try to name them all. THe journaling was perfect! The little mastered tag. The arrow. The "kiss" the paper choice, the date tag, the pops of red, and the little pics in the corner. So awesome!
basic grey pp (blitzen) bazzill cs (black) scrapworks rub-ons bobbin ribbon fibers karen foster eyelets basic grey chipboard hardware heidi swapp ghost letters (kiss) mm date stamp color box ink may arts red twine scrapworks spiral clips scrapworks studs (on the journaling tag)
"skills" is hand cut on bazzill black cs, then mod podged... this gives a very cool effect irl, almost looks like leather. You have to try it!
the tiny tag, which says "mastered" is a doodle bugs tiny tag, covered with bg pp (which I printed mastered on)
I did important in blue rub ons because I wanted it to be very subtle.
They eyelet on the "F" tag is red because my sons name is Frank.

journaling reads:
Frank, The first few times I gave you chocolate, you were not interested. But it's chocolate! So I knew it was only a matter of time before you discovered how wonderful it is. I was right! Pretty soon you loved the stuff! I'd give you kisses because they filled your whole mouth, and you'd hold your little hand over your lips to keep it all in. As you got a little older, I got tired of unwrapping the kisses for you. I decided it was time you learned how. I started handing them to you wrapped. Your first reaction was to hand them back with a look that said,"Mom, you forgot something." I showed you how to pull on the Hershey's tag to get it started. Then you'd start ripping off the tiniest pieces of foil! It took you forever to unwrap them (which was good--it slowed down the consumption process)! It didn't take you long to figure out that taking bigger pieces of foil was much more efficient. You have good technique now: the foil usually comes off in one piece! You might not have talking down yet, but at least you've mastered this important life skill! Love, Mom
