How is it possible to be completely in love with someone you have only seen a few times? What kind of power can fill my eyes with tears while my face breaks into a smile at the same time, just by looking at a picture of them? Why is it that anytime I even read a Facebook status that mentions this person my heart beats faster with joy? The answer to all of these questions is this: I have been smitten to the core with love for my niece Scarlett! She might be three states away but she has carved her a place in my heart nonetheless. This precious picture of her only helped to seal my smitten fate. I can only hope that somehow, behind those little closed eyes, in her world of innocent dreams, that she can feel her aunt Andrea’s love across the miles.
