Journaling Reads:
Brooke, I love this picture of you. I know that you don’t love it but maybe later when you look back at it, you will find your own sense of beauty in it.

As we were waiting for Brianna to get out of Kids Unlimited, you know that hour from when you finished your day and then an hour later when she finally finished hers, well, instead of going all the way home and back again, we would find things to occupy our waiting time. Across the street from where KU was held (Turtle Bay School) there were a few blackberry bushes loaded with one of summers greatest gifts. Being one of my all time favorite summer things to do, we picked buckets and buckets of blackberries. Some we kept, but most we gave to other blackberry lovers. You looked especially pretty that day and I just so happened to have the camera with me. Voila, instant photo opportunity. I love that you looked so full of life, so sweet and innocent, and I loved that you too seemed to enjoy something that I found so true to my heart. Brooke, I need for you to know that I love you even more than the taste of freshly picked summer blackberries. Summer 2004

Again, I used flowered patterned paper and hand cut out the flowers, folded them, and inked them to give them a more three dimensional look. Riboon was attached using the EK Success Fastenater. The large fasteners were copper so I painted them lightly with black MM Paint to have them blend into the layout.
