I love the jounaling. I'm sure many moms of teenagers can relate. I like the creativity with the topic you chose to scrap. I am sure that you and Chelsea will be glad that you documented those feelings someday when they feel more distant -- like when she's 50!

Journaling: Fifteen? She can’t be 15. She doesn’t look 15 to me. To me, she looks 5. She’ll always be 5. Didn’t she just come bounding off the school bus for the 1st time? Wasn’t that just yesterday? I’m sure it was yesterday. No, yesterday was the day she got her 1st locker. Or was it middle school graduation? I’m sure it was just her very 1st day of high school. I’m so confused. Yesterday was a busy day. Today is her first formal dance. Today is her first date with a boy, in a car, without an adult. Today we went to the salon for her very 1st up-do. Today I will sit at home, probably in the dark, wondering if she’ll come home. Sure, it’s irrational. But, I’m the mom. That’s what I do in these situations. I can’t help it. She’s only 5…right? Someone tell me she’s not 15. Someone tell me where the last 10 years have gone. Today is a busy day, too.
Also: Young Love from Riding in Cars with Boys We are young. We deserve to be young. We deserve to be young together. Sometimes we love people so much that we have to be numb to it. Because if we actually felt how much we love them, it would kill us. That does not make you a bad person. It just means your heart is too big.
