This card was made for a challenge at cricut.com. It's a card for the soldiers to send home to their friends and family.
SUPPLIES: Blank White Card - 6.5 x 5 inches Cricut & Fabulous Finds Cartridge Grafix Clear Craft Plastic 8.5 x 11 inches (Found at Michaels & Archivers) 25 Sheets included My Minds Eye "Flowers of Love" Light Purple Cardstock for matting Adirondack Alcohol Inks - Eggplant Ink Applicator Tool, by Ranger Rubber Stamp, I love you Northern Woods Stamp, Flowers & Vase White Cardstock Copic Markers Black Embossing Powder & Embossing Ink Pad & Heat Gun Grungeboard Heart Purple Jewels Decorative Scissors Pop Dots & Glossy Accents
How I made this card: To start, I made the stamped image of the Flowers and Vase. I heat embossed the image onto standard White Cardstock. I took the stamp and pressed it on the embossing ink pad, any kind will do. I pressed it onto white cardstock and poured the black embossing powder onto it. I heated with a heat gun and then colored it in with Copic Markers.
Then I used my Cricut to cut out the plastic for the background and the 2 squares in the top corners. On the plastic I used my eggplant alcohol ink along with my ink applicator tool and stamped it all over until I got the desired effect. I attached it to the blank white card.
Then I added the 2 squares in the corners. To finish the card, I took a piece of the floral green paper for the stamped sentiment. I needed enough room for that sentiment so after I got the correct height I used decorative scissors on the top and bottom and added the sentiment. To the left of the sentiment I added a small grungeboard heart. It's part of the "elements" brand. It comes with flourishes, hearts, keys, hinges, snowflakes, brackets etc.
