2-5-10...5:48p...This was taken Friday...I just happened to be outside & noticed a small red dot in the Eastern sky...I thought maybe it was Mars so I grabbed my camera. I checked with www.earthsky.org & it is Mars...the photo isn't that good as I had to zoom out quite a bit & without a tripod it's hard to keep a steady hand. In an event known as “opposition”, the Earth passed between the sun and Mars on January 29. With a clear view of the Eastern sky Mars will be visible every night in February, it will be well up in the East when the sun sets in the West. . [P2054029c]
