wow....this grabbed my heart !! Our dd just turned 17. And since she is our first and last, I am very sentimental. The time has gone TOO fast. Love the concept, and the photo placement is great. I also like the details such as sewing, photo turns and ricrac.
I sooooo can remember these days. Now that my girls are in there 30 they get to go through it with there kids. Funny now how they appreciate me. Love the layout......
Such a great LO! If he bickers with you, he's probably more like you than you think. lol. I have two daughters and the one that I bicker with the most is so much like me. The other one bickers with her dad. lol. Which means she is more like him. The oldest is 17 and your journaling of that song reminds me of her. Beautiful LO. I loved the two photos side by side!
Well .... I raised seven and thought I would never live to see them through their teen years....! Now I am watching some of the grandchildren go through that stage of their lives. Great page and photos. I think you did a great job on this!
Hmmmm - yes teenage years can be so trying. (We have a 15 year ol girl!) I love how you scrapped this part of your life along with the good!!! Happy 17th birthday to Chris!!!
great lo. sounds like those lyrics perfectly describe these trying times with your ds. i have faith he will spread his wings, make a few detours and ultimately you will have the perfect relationship. they say the terrible two's are bad but I think that just prepares you for a teenager!!!
Awh, it looks fabulous Cindy.....I don't look forward to those days either, my kids are only 10 and 6 but already the 10yr old has pushed me away!! He does look like you though!! Happy Birthday to your boy!!
Great page Cindy...super song to pick to describe your feelings....he will be that way...but then there will come a day when he is older that he will have the utmost respect for his MOM!! Trust me, I know!!
Yesterday was Chris' 17th Birthday. The weather has been horrible and his plans with friends were put on hold. Since Bob was working the Villonova Game, I called Chris after work and asked him to meet me at the bottom of our hill so we could go somewhere close to eat. We ate at the downtown "Black Bear" Restaurant and had a very nice time. We hadn't even closed the garage door after returning home when we started to bicker.
The layout I created for him describes this period in our lives perfectly. It's called "Anything Like Me" using the words from a Brad Paisley song:
"You're gonna love me and hate me along the way Years are gonna fly by I already dread the day He's gonna hug his momma He's gonna shake Dad's hand He's gonna act like he can't wait to leave But as he drives out he'll cry his eyes out If he's anything like me Aw he'll be alright if he's anything like me."
This layout was inspired by Mireille. Her layout "I love cotton candy" was posted earlier this week.
