Love the whole idea with this lo, I will have to do one for Avery, love his box he did such a great job with it and love the idea of the envelope on the back to hold the other valentines. Great job!
This is such a great idea. I wish I had done this with Natasha! I have her Valentine's in a bag in my cedar chest. I love this and I love how you reused things off of his Valentine box. To cute!!
that cracks me up about the box--i'm the same way with evie. when she "scrapbooks" with me, she rarely uses pictures and mostly makes sticker collages garnished with glitter glue. :) his box is lovely and i like how you saved the Valentines. i bet i still have all of hers in the basement...
This is just precious!! I love that you included a pic of him holding his box. LOVE the idea of the acetate pocket to put all the Valentines in. Y'all will really enjoy looking back at this later!! Awesome layout!
Great job mommy for letting him do it his way! I have to tell myself to back off when Rylie is "creating". They so enjoy it! This is a great idea, I would lift it, but Ry shared all her valentines with Mason so sadly they are pretty torn up!
lol, I was the same with my ds's box, I so wanted to staighten the letters he put on for his name, but I resisted! Great idea to keep the valentines in the pocket!
great job and great idea -- you're so right. I didn't save any of these -- it would be funny to look back now and see what the kids were into. Fantastic. BTW -- great pic of Connor.
My DS's first Valentine's cards from his Preschool class. I made a pocket w/ acetate to hold them for his school album. That way they can be taken out and looked at. I liked the idea of keeping them to see what cartoons and such were popular that year. The blue of the valentine's is actually fabric and the hearts are felt that we used on his valentine's box and re-used them for the LO too. There is actually a lot of texture on this LO (fabric, felt, acetate, ribbon, & foam)
BTW, I let him go through my sb stuff to pick out what he wanted to use for his box. It KILLED me not to take over and put things on straight and in better spots....LOL But he was so proud of his work and I was happy he actually wanted to do it. He usually shows no interest in being creative (drawing, coloring, crafts..etc)
