I designed this tin as a contest challenge over at "Crafty Secrets". Sandy sent out the image in color, I opted to use it as a black and white image. I adhered it to the tin after distressing the edges with Colorbox brown chalk. Then I went to embellishing! I outlined the heart with buttons from my grandmother's huge button jar, added a feather to the angel wings, distressed the white sprig of leaves, added Grandmother Essick's lace to the bottom edge, topped with a string of pearls, then gathered 2 layers of tulle, pulled together with a hat pin and vintage button of my g'mother's; Lastly, I frilled up the handle using both vintage trims and new, all in ivory. It was a fun project and one that when I look at it, I smile! tfl!
