Gong Xi Fa Cai - Wishing One and All a very Happy and Prosperous Year of the Tiger. Chinese customary Lunar New Year Greetings are always accompanied by two mandarin oranges which symbolises "KUM" or gold which means prosperity for the receiver and his family. In exchange the host will also exchange two mandarin oranges and give them to his guest to reciprocate the auspicious greetings. In days gone by, it was just simply two mandarin oranges without any frills. But in today's scrappers' world, even the mandarin oranges have been added a little bling and blitz -(LOL). Red is the colour of the season - black is taboo. The word "FU" on the ribbon represents wealth in all areas of life - not only $$$$ but also richness in close kinship ties and the warmth of friendship. The blossoming cherry blossom welcomes the beginning of Spring and the Renewal of a brand new Lunar New Year signifying a good and new beginning for the Lunar New Year. Wan Shi Ru Yi - to all fellow scrappers in the world - (everything you do will be abundant and blessed).
