HOWEVER, if you lie down in the snow with them on how do you get up? NOT Easily. Snowshoes are like short fat skis and if you don't have poles getting up is funnier than a room full of clowns with runny makeup. I learned, roll unto your tummy, which puts your feet at an bad angle, but then get one foot under you and two people to lift!! Or just don't act like a nut and lie down in them.
