This includes a heart-shaped shaker box filled with beads, plastic paw prints and tiny bones. I printed the words "They leave paw prints on your heart" on coffee dyed muslin.
Journaling: “Do not cry for me” she says. I am here. Waiting at the Bridge. Young and whole. Take your time. You have more work to do. There is plenty here to keep me occupied. Long afternoon naps in the sun. Romps in the cool wet grass. With Boots. A scolding from THE CAT! What was that? Did I mention? Long afternoon naps in the sun?”
Eventually, the pain is replaced. Fond memories in it's stead. But the paw prints remain. Forever in our hearts.
