Give a Cheer
My DD as Dorothy on Halloween 2008. The hot air balloon and bird are hand cut and pieced.
I didn't want to be make a layout with a ton of characters so I went a differnt route. I did however add the witch as this is a Halloween layout. The left side of the layout has mostly neutral tones to represent the black and white portion of the movie while the right side is colorful. The yellow brick road is represented by the woven yellow cardstock. The bird is blue, and on the left side since Dorothy sang somewhere over the rainbow when she was in Kansas and at the end of the song she sings "where happy little blue birds fly, beyond the rainbow". I looked a picture of the actual balloon in the movie to make the one on the layout. All of the letters and flourishes are stitched.
