This Lo is about puppy training with my baby sheltie Rusty. She did very well in school and even earned the ribbon for the Most Improved Dog in her class. On the last day of class the puppies got to play with "pretend agility obstacles".
Journaling: ......For the weave poles, the instructor lined up several toilet plungers in a row. (Penny, have you lost your mind???) The puppies all seemed to enjoy following their people around the mini obstacle course through the tunnel, over the jumps and around the plungers. For them it was a welcome change from the weekly rigors of “puppy obedience”. For me, the spark was lit. Little did I know that those toilet plungers would eventually change my life forever…..
……With each new skill Rusty learned, her eyes burned brighter and her excitement grew. I seriously began to consider competitive Obedience. But the Plungers…..the Plungers continued to call my name.
To get the 6 plunger embellies, I found a pic of a plunger and then printed it on shrink plastic 6 times. They look remarkably realistic!
