This LO describes the arrival of our brand new puppy Flash on 04/04/04. I printed the photo in B&W on matte paper b/c it was slightly out of focus and the gray tones went nicely with the paper and Flash's puppy collar, which I included as a remembrance of his puppy days.
For the title, I cut pieces of gray fabric and machine stitched them with red thread, leaving the ends long. I cut the letters on my Crricut on double sided tape and applied glitter. The word FLASH is polymer clay that I cast in a mold and then highlighted each letter with red paint.
Journaling: On April 4, 2004, we found ourselves the proud parents of FLASH. After a rocky start caused by a nasty battle with parvo virus, he began to THRIVE. He did not seem to mind that his front legs were shaved from the IVs and that he had lost 25 % of his body weight. When we brought him home from the hospital, he felt like a tiny bag of BONES. The most devastating and lasting effect of the horrible virus was that Flash was not able to be socialized during that CRITICAL socialization period. It did not seem to matter at the time and in short order, he was SPOILED ROTTEN!
