Great page Sherry!! I love those pics of your ds!! he looks so cute and sweet Sherry!! omg! time flies..!! they should stay little forever!!lol
Lovely lo!!
Sherry! is this really you!!! WoW! i would have not know! Great LO!! did you have a hard time not putting flowers on here? I think you did a great boy LO!! I know what you mean, its tough not to "frill" it up!!!!
Very striking LO - fabulous glitz on the border. Those relighting candles are really great. I think I still have a few somewhere in a drawer. (Envelopes went out to you yesterday.)
So much fun! I like how festive this LO is! I have the totally opposite problem all i do is scrap my son...i get nervous just looking at pink PP's! LOL
good job on the boy layout - looks good to me - we've done the relite candles too, but one time we took the candles out of the cake and put them on a paper towel, didn't realize no one really blew them out and soon the paper towel was on fire :)
This is great!! I think you know exactly what you're doing with those dude lo's!! I love this!! I only wish the pics we have of our ds blowing out the relighting candles on his 13th b-day cake would have been as clear as these! Grr!! My ds is soon to be 21 in April!
I think this came out great for someone who's not comfortable doing masculine layouts! I love the borders & your color choice & the pics are great. I think the hardest thing for me when doing masculine layouts is cutting down on the butterflies, flowers & flourishes...I seem to want to put these 3 on ALL layouts!!
I'm with you, Sherry; I also find male LOs much harder to make and I have all males in my family, including the cat and the dog - LOL!! You truly aced this! Love the colours and the awesome title!
great layout of great memories.....I love the gold sparkle trim & the letters you used for the title. I find it hard to do male layouts too...and I only have sons, must be why I do so many layouts of my "girl" (Kobe). I think this is every bit as wonderful as your 'girly' layouts!
I think it's great. I haven't even tried a guy layout yet!!! I love glitter, sparkles, & bright colors and couldn't imagine how to pull it off for a guy but yours is super cute, fun, and shiny, but not girly at all. Nicely done!
Awesome funny memory and how cool you captured it on camera..that look on Corey's face is for sure priceless. Love the color scheme and the stars. I really like your alphas.
This is a great guy layout! I love your theme! Aren't those relighting candles a hoot?! I've managed to trick every one of my kids with them at one point or another! What I really like the most about this layout is how you made this masculine without sacrificing your very unique (and wonderful) style of using bling and bright colors. It sparkles but doesn't look the least bit girly!
Great LO. The look on his face is great....lol. I totally understand about doing male LO. I have 2 little girls and have tons of girly things and LO but when I do a LO for my hubby its so hard.
I think you did just fine with your male layout. What a cute layout. And that truly is priceless! My ds is turning 12 this week and I do believe you have given me a GREAT idea! Thanks a million. lol
First let me say, I have great difficulty doing male layouts lol so bare with me. I am totally out of my comfort zone and my mind goes totally blank when I attempt a male layout lol
This is for the week's new Monthly Sketch challenge. The challenge was to use something at least a year old. I have so many things on here that are well over a year. The red paper, is about 5 years old, I bought several full packages, of different colors, at a clearance place. The Red rik rak, Gold sparkle trim, all the stars, and the Happy birthday stickers behind the pictures, are all over 4+ years old.
This is my son Corey, on his 12th birthday. He'll be 21 soon. I played a trick on him and put candles on his cake that he won't blow out and keep relighting. He takes a big breath and attempts to blow out all 12 candles on one breath. He did well but as soon as he got the last one out, they started relighting one after another.. I still snicker at the look on his face when he seen the first candle relight.. then the next then the next... I would say it was a look of shock and absolutely Priceless!
