Wow Fran.. totally beautiful!!! You put so much thought into the woman behind the picture. Thats what scrapbooking is about! Each page represents the person and this page certainly does. You did a fantastic job, knowing what she would like and worked around that.. Love the blues.. so very pretty. That butterfly.. on the left. you printed that on transparency?? where did you get the butterfly that you printed. Everything is so beautifully done.. FAVE for sure!
Now this is what scrapbooking is all about...what a beautiful tribute to your mother-in-law! Love how you incorporated all the things she enjoys in life into your lo! Just wonderful!
This is a really wonderful LO. The way you have incorporated your MIL's likes & dislikes in the LO is fantastic and I really love that transparency butterfly!
WOW, EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS IS JUST STUNNING!! I LOVE THE COLORS OF THE PAPERS WITH THAT LOVELY PHOTO!! AND THAT BUTTERFLY WORK ROCKS!! WAY COOL LO!!!!!!
Oo la la! So pretty! I like the soft, almost faded, look to the layout, which goes so well with a heritage style. I love the distressing and the butterflies and leaf, since grandma didn't like cut flowers. She would have loved it.
You complimented this lovely photo so beautifully, not only with color and design, but the meaning of your embellishments. I am sure she would have loved this as much and even more than I do!
Love the monochromatic blues and the description of why you chose the special items in the layout. My MIL also loved flowers...in the garden and not cut!
Ruth was my mother-in-law. In this pic she was 19 years old. She liked flowers but thought they belonged in the garden, not in a vase, so I only used one small silk flower as a background for a little crest. She liked birds, butterflies, squirrels and chipmunks so I used two of these in the LO. Ruth liked pretty gems, stones of colour, rather than pearls: Diamonds were her best friends so I included a couple of gems and a crystal flourish. I used my new inks, glitter and chalks. I printed the butterfly on transparency, added details with glitter then cut it out. Die cuts were made on my Cricut. I traced the butterfly on the right with glitter and gel pens.
