FOR BOTH: I used glossy cardstock as a background for both cards. I used Adirondack Alcohol inks ON the glossy cardstock. I heat embossed the stamped image of the vase w/ flowers with black embossing powder instead of using a regular black ink pad. It makes it nice and shiny, looks more professional and it helps to keep me in the lines with my Copic Markers. I also used Fiskar border punch on the paper at the bottom of the cards. I also heat embossed the sentiment "Sweet Friends" with white embossing powder. I also inked the photo corners with the corrdinating alcohol ink that I used for the background. I also used Cricut and my fabulous finds cartridge to cut the background, the strips of paper and their matting.

The left photo I used Citrus alcohol ink. Green patterned paper is from HobbyLobby. It's My Minds eye, flowers of love. I matted the strips with green cardstock

The right photo...I embossed the 3 strips of paper wth Bubbles embossing folder (Cuttlebug). Then I sanded it. The background was made with Eggplant Adirondack alcohol ink.
