What an awesome masculine style l/o!! I'm just loving the masking work you did here!! WOW!! and the way you did the titlework!! He's such a handsome young man (even without the smile :)
WOW!! This lo is amazing!! I love the tickets.. I also love the vintage look!! Great work!! Good pic of him too... even without a smile he looks alright!! lol!! So, is he 14 now or is this an older photo??
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a fantastic masculine lo!!! LOVE the colors & pp's you used!!! The scalloped borders & buttons rock!!! My dgs Kyle is 16 & he won't smile either! Weird, huh? Hopefully they'll grow out of it!!! Anyway, this is a FAV for sure!!! Love it all!
He will grow out of it - they do! And he'll have an even better smile in the future. I love the honesty of this lo, and that line of buttons is perfect.
Wow this is so unique and cool. Great pps and embellies and he is handsome even without the smile. Love the little tickets with the quote and all those buttons!
I can't believe I missed this one!! This is great Kel! I love the design and I hope that he grows out of it soon too - He looks like he would have a wonderful smile just like his mum!! :)
The tickets are great!!
oh what a shame.. he's a good looking young man! Good job on this layout VERY manly.. I wish I could do it like this! I don't like the last male layout I did.. I just can't seem to find the right male layout confidence.. You sure did.. this ones great.
Love the colors and use of the tickets for the bg of the title!
BTW - I have a 14 yr old son and he is going thru the same thing... if I get a smile out of him it is a close lipped smile, which is such a shame because he has beautiful teeth!
Hi everyone! The tix were created by misscutiepieinspiration.blogspot.com. Thank you Miss Cutie Pie! It's a free download. My description was confusing and says go to my blog so I just posted it in my blog too. Sorry for the mix up.
Kelly ... you have done it A*G*A*I*N!!! What an amazing and B*R*I*L*L*I*A*N*T lo! There is so much to look at on this page ... but ... it does not take away from your handsome son. (I hope he smiles again someday too) I love LOVE L*O*V*E those "tickets" and I think I just N*E*E*D to have them ... LOL! What else can I say ... right into fav's!!!!!!!!!!!!
this is gorgeous! I have 3 children grown up and married. Got 4 grandchildren. Now my youngest daghter moved in with 2 children want to divorce. You never stop worring about your child.
Beautiful LO! Its a shame because he's very handsome. I was just reading in a magazine that girls of all ages are quickly attracted to a beautiful smile ahead of any other feature. Too bad that he would rather be cool than have girls attracted to him. ;) ;) ;) Nice girls dont find frowns or the stoic look to be cool. YOU, though, Kelly, know what COOL looks like in a LO :).
what a handsome young man!!!!mine didn't smile for years....I think my youngest was 21 when he started smiling again!! love the colours and all the fabulous details on this terrific layout!
aww im sorry he wont smile anymore, im sure it's just a stage! :) I looove this though, love the colors, the journaling and love what you did with the tickets!
WOW...This is so perfect, what a beautiful page, To bad your young man don't want to smile, Don't worry mom it's just a stage. Been there with the 19 year old. LOL I love every detail of this lo... The tickets and buttons are fantastic!!!! Fave
Wow...Kelly, this is such a cool masculine LO ! Love the photo :) those cute tickets, buttons and the colors !!! Fantastic journaling :) Into my favs :)
Ooo Kelly I love all of this! Especially the way you used the tickets stamped and slightly off-kilter (does anyone even use that word anymore? off-kilter? sometimes I think I am channeling my great-grandmother or something!) Awesome photo of your son, too, and trust me, his smile will return next time some girl gushes "you have the BEST smile!" lol! Fantastic vintage look LO!
Kelly! This is awesome! I always wanted that making memories magnetic alpha stamp set!!!! Your son looks handsome, even without a big smile like yours!!!! what a beautiful vintage layout - I love it!
Looks like I'm back on the teenager trend (and the vintage tickets lol!) Thought I'd make a page about my 14-year-old son who has now decided not to smile in any photos. It is such a shame because he has an amazing smile...just lights up his face. In this photo, he's the closest to smiling that I've seen in quite awhile. This is all 7 Gypsies, except the top and bottom scalloped borders are Sassafrass Lass. The buttons are from my mother's vintage button jar. I stitched the bottom pleated red border before I glued it down with the ribbon on top of the seam. Had to laugh...I'm sewing buttons and stitching pleated paper, yet there's a bunch of pants that are waiting to be hemmed in my house!! I used the Ironworks Glimmer screens for the mask and sprayed with Chocolate Cherries. The title chipboard alpha is older Heidi Swapp. I stamped Boys Will Be Boys on the blank tix with my ancient Making Memories magnetic alpha stamp set. It's actually a cool font, kind of old typewriter style, called "Rummage". To stamp I used Tim Holtz's distress Black Soot. First time I've used 7 Gypsies pps, and I really like the vintage look they have. (Thanks again to my dear friend SandPapers for giving me the link to the vintage tickets...in my Valentine's Day blog)
