SHCG: What a fun and interesting page. My eye just keeps wondering around all of the details, textures and color combinations. The chicken card is just perfect. WHy WHY WHY is our first feedback thought always "mat the photo" BUT I actually was thinking a few straight lines doodled on the photo as a mat would look really cute. Super job.
SHCG: I love that you scrapped this, had fun while doing it, and altered the scrap outta it. Nice use of complementary colors. I like the rise and shine piece next to "an ordinary day." I also like how your title seems to mimic chickens' movement and covered in chicken scratch handwriting. A few tiny other ways I can see this lo: I can see that teal punched piece in the bottom right repeated in half the amount behind the upper left corner of the rise and shine card. I like the bullseye pp, and would like to see a half of a bigger golden yellow bullseye, like the rays in the rise and shine card, sticking out behind the crumpled orange bg in the upper left. Finally, I wonder how the border of the photo would look if you scratched it up and colored in the scratches with golden yellow. Still, I think this piece is fine as is. You put a lot of pretty work into showcasing a photo I wouldn't normally consider cute, and I love that you didn't use typical embellies like eggs and nests.
SHCG: Beautiful LO Wendy :) I love the colors, the distressing, the embellies! The journaling is great and I love the Rise&Shine card, fits in perfectly :)
SHCG: The multiple PP is awesome and the distressing adds so much to this LO. The journaling adds so much to this fantastic LO. I like the dimensions with the multiple paper and embellies and colors. The title is great with the multiple colors and patterns and fits right in. great job on such an odd subject
SHCG - Marvelous work, Wendy! Nice move on picking a unique & random subject. Super scrapping of a page rich w/ visual interest. Love all the distressing, embellies, inking, texture & color scheme. Outstanding overall placement. One tiny thing, the letters in "chickens" kinda run into each other given the lightness/patterns of the letters... I see those are chipboard so perhaps the dimension make them stand out more IRL & it just looks like that online. Regardless, sensational LO!
SHCG! Love it! The subject is a little unusual, but the journaling brings it home! I love the colors and all the elements! You did such a great job altering everything!
I had a lot of fun putting this page together. The picture and subject in itself are a little out of the ordinary, so I went with the blues and oranges in the picture as a theme. I pretty much altered everything on this page with ink, stickles and a scissors.
Journal: It's funny what our childhood minds store into our long term memories. I will always remember helping Grandma Dorothy with chicken chores. More specifically watching her carry buckets of water to the chicken shed. She always held her left arm straight out - she explained to me that this was to help her to keep her balance.
