Candy Canes

So, this was a layout we didn't have any photos for, but certainly had a story for. Who says scrapbooking has to include photos. :) The story I won't type it all out, but basically, my hubby picked up candy canes at a local drug store (won't name the chain but it starts with a C and ends with an S). Turns out the candy canes after he'd gotten them home were 2 years past their expiration date. For some reason, my hubby and I thought it was hysterical (must have been the egg nog) So, as a joke, we wrapped the candy canes and gave them to his older brother as a gag gift. When he opened them, the expression on his face was priceless and my husband and I were both laughing so hard (again, must have been the egg nog). Since then, every year we try and find a gag gift from my brother in law. One year it was a bag of christmas shaped noodles, another year it was a NBA bobble head (BIL hates basketball). Now that everyone knows the joke, everyone is always trying to figure out what the gag gift will be.
Nothing like family goofiness during the holidays!
