This is my grandfather Christiaan Bokkers at work. He used to be a typographer for the “Delftsche Courant”, the newspaper of Delft, our hometown. Every year around Christmas time he wrote a poem to be published in this newspaper. Grandpa had such great writing skills. Unfortunately none of the Christmas poems stayed in our family archives. The only poems that lasted are the ones he wrote in my diary when I was a child. I cherish them with all my heart…
