Reading your journaling really makes me want to dig up a memory, make a page about it and feel good that I've documented something like this for my kids! This is true scrapbooking! What a fabulous page :)
Michelle ... I too have simular thoughts about my grandmother's recipes. I L*O*V*E your colors, and your heartfelt words are amazing in the journaling. There is so much to look at in this 2 pager and the W*H*O*L*E thing is absolutely amazing!
What a fantastic LO! I love the journalling and thank you for sharing! I am so glad that you have such a treasured box with a treasured memory! Great work!!
You are a gifted writer, Michelle. The journalling is so authentic and you beautifully describe the vivid memories of your Nan. Thank you for passing along this heartwarming story. These pps are PERFECT for this lo! Love the scalloped circle and flowers. Brilliant how you journalled on those recipe cards! Your design on the 2 pages is seamless...something that can be difficult to accomplish. This is a BIG FAVE, my friend!!!
I agree with Scrappyhappymom! I love the direction your latest LOs are taking...not that I didn't love all your earlier Gallery too, but these ones are so very special! Beautiful work!
What an amazing layout. I love all your vintage layouts. That's what I love about scrapbooking, it's about expressions and creativity but mostly about preserving and journalling those special memories and you do that so well.
I must be on some kind of nostalgic kick or something lately... this Lo is about my Nan's old tin recipe box ...another treasured momento she gave me before she passed. I used all Bo bunny Kitchen spice pps with this LO. The journaling reads"I love this old recipe box that belonged to my grandmother Lewis. It sat up on the shelf in her cozy kitchen for as long as I can remember. Funny how one little tin box can bring back so many memories and warm fuzzy feelings. I always loved Nan's kitchen! My favorite memory is arriving at her house in the dark of the evening...the lights from her kitchen window would glow in the dark drawing our car up the long path from the main road. Nan would have the woodstove roaring as she rocked in the corner waiting for our arrival. I loved to crawl up on her lap for a rock in that cozy kitchen. My favorite thing about this recipe box is that some of the recipes are written in Nan's own handwriting. It is very dear to me. Not a recipe box but a treasured box!" TFL!
