What a great layout, Christine! I love the story behind the "got"! I really want that Mother's Day cartridge!! It looks like it will be nice. I need to drop a hint to my hubby so he can get it for me for Mother's Day!!
what a wonderful layout...and memory! and story. love the "hidden" tag, the buttons marking the date...and you made the green cut with your crucut?! clearly i have yet to discover its full potential! that's awesome.
you are such a sweetie! I love everything about this and I'm an adoptee too, so it's extra special to me! Now that my parents are gone I miss celebrating my gotcha day!
I think this is the most awesome page ever. I love the story behind it and your granddaughter will treasure it. I love that your Mom celebrates your "got" day! How totally fantastic!
this just tugs at my heart! It's beautiful. (my daddy adopted me although my mom is my mom and her parents adopted her so there is lots special about this layout for me).
Wow Christine - this is almost like your heart on the page. Its a precious and wonderful story, and so amazing to be able to pass it on to your dgd in such a sincere way. Aside from the story, I LOVE the green cut out and it goes beautifully with the flowery paper behind it - its like spring and new life - both the pps and the story and even the month!
Wow!! You made your own lace cardstock. It's amazing!!! The whole LO is just gorgeous!! The placement of the cards and the flowers are all so perfect. And look how cute you are!!!
this is really awesome .. great cut with the cricut .. and the patience in distressing it .. I am impressed girl ... but you know I love those primas .... Really nicely done LO !
What a wonderful LO!! I love the story...made me cry... just a happy tear of joy!!! What a wonderful memory for such a wonder Lady!!!
as you would say...........smmmmmmooooooooooches!!!!
This is a page i did for a challenge with Paper Posies (my kit of the month club) The challenge was to do a page about ME, using only paper posie kits--i used a combo of i think 3-lol
The picture is of me, blowing out the candles at my very first birthday party EVER! 1973 and i was 9.
This page is more for my granddaughter. We have explained adoption to her, but she still is a little confussed of why there are no baby pictures of me--you can hardly see it, but i made a hidden journaling tag--attached to a larger paper underneath, that gives her the whole big story for later on.
The title "GOT" comes from my mom, who to this day, not only celebrates my birthday, but also my "got" day--the day she GOT me, April 10, 1972--i was 8
The green cut out i did using the cricut and the new cart Mother's Day and then inked. The prima Pearl Glitter Spray was a gift from my fab Secret Sister
