i think this is wonderful!!!
i too began to get frustrated with trying to be as wonderful as others...& then i realized...as long as I like my work..thats all that matters :D (btw..love yer work!! its all beautiful!)
well, I think this is JUST GREAT!!! I had the same issue too, wanting to have the most beautiful pages ever! got over it and now it's more fun!!! Lovely!!!!
OH MY GOSH!! this is way too cute--what a smart idea, to get so many photos on one page--i feel i might have to "steal" this idea from you--fantastic page!!! this is by no means "simple" this is what this fab hobby is about--keeping the memories forever--and this page will do just that! love it!
Simple is good...and I love this clean design with SO many fantastic photos! Sometimes I feel inspired by the other scrapbookers on SBC, but also can feel intimidated or overwhelmed! Scrap whatever you want, however you want...it's ALL good. (We're headed to Disneyland for Spring Break, so I will have to lift this idea...thank you very much!)
I know how you feel about being intimidated by all the other LO's & lack of creativity. However, I think you did a great job and may scraplift this idea. Great job!
This is a really fun and happy page. It made me smile. This is a great design, precut or not!, and I esp like the doodles and extra touches. The title work rocks and I love the border strip and buttons at the bottom. All your photos are great. What a wonderful memory and wonderful page. Perfect!
Like you, I get frustrated trying to duplicate ideas from some of the fancier layouts and often end up going pack to simpler layouts. This is awesome...perfect for these pics. I think it's the simplicity of it that makes is a knockout layout.
this is great, you needed to keep it simple w/all those photos : ) I love how each pic has a caption or some other embellies. Great title w/the multi-colors, makes me totally think of Disney : )
Beautiful work!!! I love all the great photos and your doodles are the perfect touch!!! I'm pretty sure you are creative too!! Sometimes I get discouraged because I make my LO's with lots of pictures but I make the albums for my family and they love them!! We all have our own style and yours is beautiful my friend(:
I can so totally relate to everything you said!!! You have 12 really fun vacation pix here ................... why make 12 lo's when this looks fantastic with how you punched them into circles & put them all on 1 page!!! Love your title work & the buttons!!! You've just gotta mix it up a bit sometimes!!! btw, love the white doodling & stitching too! SUPER CUTE lo!!!!!
Such great memories, very cute LO. When I get in a slump on what to create I go to the sketches people put on their sites. Try beggahunna, she has quite a lot. Her sketches are amazing. I just bought the new Prima line and sat and looked at the beautiful paper and then I saw the talented Flying_Unicorn put two sketches on her site and I used them:) Just do what you like and what you are comfortable with. I love your gallery. Carol.
Vija, I love this page and the mix of bright colors, and of course, all the awesome character shots. But, it is your honesty I love most. We all go through times like you are experiencing right now. Several months ago, I had to remind myself that I am NOT scrapping for my friends and fellow artists here....I am scrapping for my family and friends and for ME too. I even started noticing that some scrappers write their journaling like they are talking to an audience rather than to the person the page is about, or they are telling the story to us rather than to family. Does that make sense? Anyway, you have talent out the WAZOO, so I'm not a bit worried about you! This page is wonderful in its simplicity. Keep 'em coming! BTW, I'm saving this one in my Disney faves!
Vija, you did an amazing job here ! This layout is so fun, through all those pics you told us what a great time you had at Disney World :) Love the way you did the titul and of course - your BUTTONS :)
my there such a cute and wonderful little creation, so you have lost your mojo not by the look of this Love all the fotos in the circles, handsome young sons too , oh of course gorgeous looking parents, thanks for sharing these great disney fotos
I love this! all the circle , buttons , colors & design are awesome!! I understand whatcha mean about trying too hard... I recently went through the same thing!! I finally realized I can only scrap for me!! You do awesome work & this is a perfect example!! Fav & inspire! tfs :)
very cute title...and I love how you got so many pictures on this page...I can't believe how many characters you got a chance to take pictures with at Disney World...don't worry about your scrapper's block we all go through it...sometimes a change of pace is just what we need
I think your layout is full of creativity! Love all the photos, it's a great way to put them all on one page. The cute butterly and title are just adorable! I enjoy seeing your pages very much. So sorry you feel that way right now. I hope it passes soon. :)
I love the fact that the photos are the stars of the layout instead of all the bling and embellishements that are so popular and over used. This layout rocks!
WOW...Vija I really love this, First your title is perfect and second your lo is perfect too... I love the doodling and love the design on the bottom with buttons fabulous job as is all your wonderful pages!!!
ok - what's all this nonsense about losing your creativity??? Your los are ALWAYS wonderful!!! I think with all the beautiful pp, flowers and cute embellies that are available to us now, we lose sight of the real reason we scrap - TO PRESERVE OUR CHERISHED MEMORIES and to have fun. I look back at my first attempts, (the ones with plain cardstock, markers and a few stickers), and I know that my dd will cherish these as much (or more) than my current los. Your family will love you los because they are a part of you not because they are elaborately embellished. Can't wait to see your next lo - vickie
I think the simplicity of this layout is what makes it so wonderful! It showcases all of the Disney characters & how you all had fun on your vacation with them in one shot! I too have gotten overwhelmed in the past with all the talent on this site--but then I realized that what makes me unique is my own style and not trying to be like someone else. Being myself has made me more at ease when I scrapbook and I just go with the flow...in the end I have layouts that I'm happy with! After all, the most important person to please is yourself! Keep scrapping & creating...your gallery is full of creative inspiration!
What a wonderful idea! I love how you scrapped all of the characters and your title! Awesome work!!!!! I will need to lift your idea if you don't mind!
Vija, I love your description and the fact that the cardstock had precut holes. I always feel the lack of creativity and have to start and stare and think until I'm happy with what I do, but NOTHING as creative as your pages and others on this site. This is a great way to show off all those characters and your fun pics from Disney. I'm enjoying the layout - love the buttons and the border at the bottom.
Just some of our 'happy' snaps from Walt Disney World. My current lack of creativity/confidence & lost mojo/no insperation has resulted in me going back to just some very simple scrapping of our holiday photos. I think I became frustrated trying to emulate some of the beautiful works of the so many talented scrappers on this site and was trying too hard to try & recreate some of the beautiful handmade flowers & distressed details when I'm not at all a creative person. So I've gone back to my comfort zone of basics for now. The cardstock even came with the precut holes! Just a bit of white pen, stickles, some buttons & stickers and us!
