My father, Walter Garrett, is shown here with three of his four brothers. The photo was taken somewhere in West Texas in 1938 (I've fixed the typo), making my father 22. With no work on the farms on Central Texas, the brothers would head west to pick cotton. They are pictured here, not in work clothes, but in what was to them, their Sunday best.
