This is a Great LO, I am excited to see the iron on letters in use:) I have been wondering how they would look. This whole page is so beautiful!! I love that green flower..(is it just a cardstock cutout?) The paper choices are so apealing to the eye. The sequins wraped around the chipboard letter :) what a great idea. I simply love this LO
Ohhhhhh... I LOVE this!!! Love the flower, the stitching, the pic, the distressing... *sigh* beautiful. The only thing that I would adjust is that I'm not fond of pink with red. But this is just super!!! Great work here.
Very cute LO Beth. That pic is just too adorable and the BG papers seem made for your page. (I'm so jealous that you are working with them already :d )
What a great layout. I like your focal picture choice, of course, but the one of your daughter with the sunglasses and the boots is priceless. Thanks for sharing.
This is terrific!!! Love the colors and flowers you used. I'm almost tempted to suggest faintly chalking, inking or coloring in the letters on the word fashion in one of the shades of green from the pps or flowers, but I do also like the way it looks with the vellum matting on the pic. Love the way you did the title too; great work :)
I adore this, Beth!!! What a great focal photo!! The design serves that pic beautifully -- it all works together exquisitely! The details on the chipboard letters are downright yummy. The stitching details bring such a lovely finished look to it all. I love the journaling too -- excellent detail, heartfelt "reality" journaling. May I suggest taking your time to choose which layouts to upload? Your work is always wonderful by what I can tell and you've got a lot of time to pick and choose which winners to add to your entry. Thank you for sharing -- I'm really enjoying your work!
My dd loves wearing dresses and accessorizing so I had to do a LO with the new Basic Grey Urban Couture and her many looks. TFL!!
Supplies Used: Bazzill Cardstock: tan and green(distressed to match the BG) Basic Grey Urban Couture PP, tags, letters SEI: Brads, Ribbon(Maroon and brown sheer polka dot) KI Memories: ice candy and rub-ons Heidi Swapp: Iron ons(pink), chipboard alphas(raw) Rhinestone Flowers Scrapworks: Tailored tab and letter, pink ribbon AMM: Brass Stencil Phrase Other: White ribbon-AC Moore, MM paint, Tsukineko Staz-on white and cleaner and walnut ink all used to distress Bazzill cardstock and also Versacolor ink for distressing. Judikin's Diamond Glaze, stitching.
Journaling on the tags in the pocket on bottom right reads: Annabella Says: “I wear dresses because beauty princesses do and if I am being them, I have to.”
Mommy Says: I am the lady in the store, bank or post office with the little girl wearing the sparkly holiday dress in the end of February. Annabella loves wearing dresses and going shopping for clothes. If I were to ask her where she wants to go, she says the mall. Okay, maybe I have a small problem and influence her love of fashion a little. I love taking Annabella shopping and she looks so adorable in those cute outfits. It is a way for us to bond and spend time together. One day I took Annabella to eat at a restaurant with a play area and one of the other moms asked me if we had just got back from getting our pictures taken. I said no this is the way she likes to dress and she picked out the dress today herself. Maybe it is also because when I was little I wore a lot of hand-me-downs. We didn’t always have the money to buy new clothes and I was self conscience of the way I dressed. I guess part of me also regrets not having any memories of my mom and I spending time together and doing things like this. Either way, my little girl is a fashion diva and I love her sense of fashion and her personality.
