On the moving trip from AZ to CO, we drove through New Mexico. My Dad was in he car with me and since New Mexico's landscape is a little...well, boring and flat...we made up our own version of car bingo. No boards or anything, just random rules we made up as we drove and saw little things. To jazz up the layout a big, I printed one of the pictures in sepia tones. I actually have that picture blown up and mounted in my office because it feels very serene. New Mexico Bingo kept the drive interesting and was a good memory and bonding experience for us. I miss my family a lot and scrapbooking is giving me that way to have them around all the time.
I used scraps of matching paper to write little words on and then put small brads on either side of them to make them pop. I used a page maps as inspiration for this layout. (http://www.pagemaps.com/pdfsketches.htm, March 2008). I've loving pagemaps.com for help with new creative layout ideas.
