I've wanted to do this layout for a long time. Finally picked the papers and got it done today!

Hidden tag journaling reads: The birth our son was a milestone of accomplishment, pride and sheer joy. Not only had I successfully carried this little life into the world, but I had had a BOY! This was the "crowned prince" as the first grandchild and first great grandchild on both sides of his family tree. He was the legacy to carry on the family name into history. Jonathan touched my heart in a way I cannot put into words by the very essence of his being.
As the years have gone by, the milestones have passed quickly and too soon. My baby has turned into a handsome young man right before my eyes. He has learned to walk and talk. He has become a big brother. He was potty trained. He started school. He graduated elementary school and moved to the middle school. We have begun his education and preparation for his Bar Mitzvah - just around the corner in 2007. All wonderful steps towards becoming the amazing man I know he will be one day all too soon.
The most recent milestone has moved this mother's heart the most. At the tender age of almost 12, my baby has a girlfriend. Jonathan is experiencing the excitement and jitters of having feelings for a girl, and having her reciprocate those feelings and admit (in front of her friends, no less!) that she likes him back. As I watch with the pride of a mom who knows her baby is growing, yet still so young, I unfortunately suspect there will be hurt, and possible heartbreak to come. Yet I know that this too will serve as a developmental milestone and prepare him for the day when he will find the woman who will share his children's milestones with him. But not too soon, and not too fast. I want to enjoy this moment while it lasts.
