Oh, how pretty! I like the addition of ticket stubs, the envelope and card. And, yes, Patsy Cline's song suits these two lovebirds to a T, as they said back in the day. You are blessed having such great role models in your life.
What an incredible story. Whats meant to be will find its way. The LO is gorgeous. I so love the layered vintage look with the card. What a time piece. Carol.
My mom, at 22, and my dad, at 24. My mom was a senior cadet nurse at Deaconesse Hospital in Grand Forks,North Dakota and my dad was stationed at Camp Beale after returning from 4 years of fighting in the Pacific. They had written to each other for 4 years. My dad sent this valentine (cost:50 cents) to my mom at the hospital-stamped with an 8 cent stamp-on Feb.10th,1945. My mom remembers getting it along with a box of chocolates. She also remembers that only 6 pieces were left after her shift at the hospital!! He proposed to her and they were married on September 12,1945. This valentine is 65 years old and their love is still strong at age 86 and 89 after all this time! That's why I used the Patsy Cline song "I'll Be Loving You Always" as the title. TFL!! jen BG pp-velvet!!
