That is a very nice lo, I think you did it great justice. I've lived in Sac for a few years now and have yet to really visit the historical sites. Maybe that will be something fun to do this summer.
Well I think its gorgeous ...very eycatching and it really caught my eye in the gallery. great idea with the postcard scan for the background and I love how you framed your modern day photos with the black mats...very sharp!
My Husband and I went on a tour of the Governor's Mansion in our home town, Sacramento, CA. It's a beautiful, vintage, Victorian Home that hasn't been lived in for years. The Background picture is a post card of the mansion, when it was first built in 1877, I purchased in the gift shop. I scanned it in black and white and then used colored pencils and chalk for a little color. The newer pictures, of course, were of our visit a couple of weeks ago. The page is not fancy but it made me feel good to put it together.
