"Olympic Day is one of the most exciting Camp Buckskin traditions! Instead of following the regular daily schedule, the campers all compete in different relay races, swimming and canoeing competitions, obstacle courses, and may other fun activities. Each cabin comes up with a team name, a cheer, and they create a team flag. And, to make the day even more exciting, all of the staff members dress up in the wackiest costumes they can find! Some of them dress up like their nickname- for instance, my costume was a big duck outfit to go with my nickname, Ducky. At the end of the day, after all the events are finished, we all gather around the campfire and have an awards ceremony to acknowledge the Olympic Day winners. Some of my favorite Camp Buckskin memories are of Olympic Day madness!"
