Give a Cheer
September 3, 2008 was Joshua’s first day of Preschool. He walked in with me happy and talking about the big clock on the outside of the building. When we got to his classroom I hugged him and tried to leave but he chased me into the hall. I waited until one of the teachers wasn’t occupied and made my exit, with him in the door trying to chase me but being held back by the teacher while crying and screaming, “I WANT MY MAMA!” It was very hard to leave him.
When I got there to pick him up at the end of the day he was outside playing. He wasn't crying! I asked him what he did at Preschool and all he'd tell me was, "I was sad and then I was happy." I guess that's a start!
