Hooray! I'm so glad you posted! I guess my forcing tactics worked! Ha! This turned out great! Your journaling is absolutely wonderful...so funny! And you were right, it's definitly a story that needed to be told! Those photos are too cute and I adore how you put a road sign pic behind your journaling! Awesome touch!
This is a layout that just would not come together! (In fact, I wasn't even going to post it...but I was "forced" to! Thanks, Deena! lol) I am still trying to use up some old letters, papers, etc. Anyway, I felt that the story needed to be written and I love these two photos (taken over a year apart).
Journaling says: I don't know what it is with us G-------s, but we are all infatuated with maps! When we travel, we have to be the "navigators." When we are headed somewhere new, we have to plot the trip months in advance. And when we go to zoos, amusement parks, etc. we can't wait to get our hands on the park maps so we can plan the most efficient course of action for the day!
Those members of our family who are NOT G-------s find this especially amusing. That's why Marc snapped this photo of all of us at Dollywood in July 2004. Here we stand -- mom, dad, Michelle, Jennifer, and me -- studying our maps of the park and trying to make a plan for the day.
And that's why we found it so hysterical a year later when we saw you at King's Island completely engrossed in the map. To most people, this picture would appear to be just a cute photo of a little boy at King's Island. However, to those of us in the G------- family, we know that this is just the beginning of a much bigger obsession. All I can say, Carson, is that every day we see a little more evidence that you are a G------- through and through!
