Oh, now this is my favorite!!! How wonderful to have a picture of her wearing the locket and all the little antique bits you put in to reinforce your theme. And wait, is it my imagination or is that journaling on the page!?!? I love having a piece of the story as I'm enjoying this beautiful layout! Thank you for sharing it with us!

judith, this is so special. it's obvious a lot of love went into creating this lo. it is beautiful! i love the heart lace and the wonderfully embellished tag. her cameo is lovely and so is your poem and this lo. so much wonderful detail!! tfs :)

Cameo

This is my Grandma Bess's cameo necklace, which I now own and treasure. The title "cameo" are metal/bead letters that run along the side of the tag inside the gold bursts, but the focal point is the cameo locket. My grandma is wearing it in her early 20s. The journaling says,
Bess Early 1888-1927
Grandma Bess's cameo
is a locket that shines;
Grandma Bess's cameo
is a treasure that's mine.
