This is the male counter-part to my Marjorie Gay lo.This is my best friend's dad,nicknamed "Bee" by his first grandson.(Most people call him Bee to tis day!)This was taken around 1932-33 in Greece,where I believe they were living at the time.I had a more difficult time with this lo as I didn't want it to be too froo-froo being a boy's page.But then,he IS standing in front of a flowering shrub,and I DID want it to go with Marjorie's page,so I did what comes naturally for me.....I added Prima! LOL!!
I cut out the tree,birds,bees,and butterfly from assorted Webster's Pages.The "story" page was left over from Marjorie's lo where I used the birds.The tree was too blah,so my hubby suggested drawing lines to create the bark to darken it up.It worked.
My friend is throwing a surprise party celebrating her parents,and I'm sending these framed as a present to them both.Thanks so much for loking!
