For the latest Round Robin challenge at Swirlydoos, I had some gorgeous layouts to lift, first Lisa (StarSailor), then Pat (GentlewoodFarms), then Rae (NevadaRae), can't get more inspiring for that!!!

I started out with a piece of white cardstock and some TH Distress Ink to make my bottom layer. The second layer was cut freehand and distressed and inked; the next layer was easier: I used a worn blade in my paper cutter to distress while I formed the square. For the artisan shape, I simply traced one of my Creative Imagination frames. I used a MS PAP for the matting and did some stitching in the center top and bottom using a Bazzil stencil that had been gathering dust.
The block letters in the title were done with MS Word and printed on cardstock that I got on clearance at M's. The Mother was cut out on my Cricut, as were the leaf vines.
Meg mentioned that we hit the TH booth this weekend; I snagged the Sizzix flower die!! A couple of the small flowers are Prima; the rest are die-cut scraps. I cut up a Prima swirly to embellish the corners (there is a butterfly in the upper one if you look closely). Rather than another butterfly, I decided to add a bird charm.

And the twist... I've never scrapped my Aunt Bernie, who was truly my "Other Mother", our caretaker when my mother was sick and mother to us all for huge chunks of each summer.
