Great mix of papers and fantastic journaling! (P.S. I went through the same things about turning 30 . . . just dreaded it! Now I am 35 and it doesn't even bother me!)
How special! DANG! I missed your birthday...Happy Birthday a few days late. I'm sure you found that the world didn't end. Your 30's are SO spectacular! Enjoy them!
Gorgeous LO! Love the way you interpreted the sketch. It's funny to think of 30 as old -- the 30's are waaaaaaay better than the 20's for a woman. I'd kill to be 33 forever. Wait til you're 40 - now that's a hard adjustment -- at least for me.
I was about 5 months pregnant when I turned 30, that was way scary for me! But, you are right, it's just a number. So, I will have to try and keep that in mind when I turn 37 in 11 days huh?! Great job bracketing the picture and love the BG on here!
Great lo! I really didn't look forward to turning 30 at all! But as you said I have no idea why! It's absolutely no different! Now, I'm 32 and still feeling more or less the same as I did in my 20's! LOL Love the flowers and brackets around your photo!
Actually... Well, for me, anyway, turning 30 is soooooo much better than being 29. I'm even looking forward to turning 40. I do hope your 30th year on this rock is as magical and awesome as it should be.
I really like the spring papers you used and the negative space on this. Of course, I love your journaling, and very glad you decided you have nothing to be traumatized about. Believe me, trauma is when you realize you will never see 30 (or even 40) again! LOL!

Journaling reads: When I was younger, I used to think that 30 was SO OLD. Even when Jason turned 30, it was a huge change of mindset for me. And now, I am looking ahead just a few days and trying to imagine that being 30 will be no different than 29. I'm not sure what is so potentially traumatizing (for lack of a better word). It's not like I'm going to wake up Monday morning feeling any differently than today.
Why is turning 30 so scary? Why does it seem so old, yet I don't feel like it should be defined as old any longer. I refuse to let myself define anyone by their age any longer - myself included. It really is nothing but a number. No, 30 isn't a scary number to me anymore. It is just a number that happens to very soon be my age. 4/2/10
