Journaling reads:
When I was younger, I used to think that 30 was SO OLD. Even when Jason turned 30, it was a huge change of mindset for me. And now, I am looking ahead just a few days and trying to imagine that being 30 will be no different than 29. I'm not sure what is so potentially traumatizing (for lack of a better word). It's not like I'm going to wake up Monday morning feeling any differently than today.

Why is turning 30 so scary? Why does it seem so old, yet I don't feel like it should be defined as old any longer. I refuse to let myself define anyone by their age any longer - myself included. It really is nothing but a number. No, 30 isn't a scary number to me anymore. It is just a number that happens to very soon be my age. 4/2/10
