I love love love this, Cathy. I've been talking to my daughter about what she is going to tell her son when he is a bit older. I love your washing machine analogy.
Your layout is awesome. It struck me from the minute I saw it. Thank you Thank you Thank you for doing this. I have a 10 year old son who is ASD..very high functioning yet still challenging. I was almost in tears when I read your journaling. So true! Thanks for the inspiration and continuting to bring awareness of autism to this forum!
This is a wonderful layout! I love your heart felt journaling and how the puzzle pieces make the heart! My son is on the Autism Spectrum and it is amazing how much there is to learn about the diagnosis. This is a very inspiring layout! Thank you for sharing this!
April is Autism Awareness Month. This layout was done using the color scheme of the autism ribbon.
My 2 oldest sons are both on the autism spectrum.
Journaling reads: "The two of you are so very different. You are both diagnosed on the autism spectrum. Chris with Asperger's & Kevin with autism. That's where the similarities end. Learning about ASD has been like piecing together a puzzle. You have each taught me that "normal" is just a setting on a washing machine, that we can do more than we think we can, and that you can not define a person by a diagnosis."
