I've always loved telling this story, but I thought it might be more fun to write it as a letter to my little sister. The journaling reads:

"Dear Jen,
I know this is a little late, but I thought I should apologize for the welcome you got the day we brought you home from the hospital. It must have been bad enough being born right before Christmas, but then you had to endure the indignity of coming home in that stocking. I really didn't mean to throw up on you in the car . . . it was Christmas morning and I hadn't gotten a lot of sleep because I was so excited. Dad got us up awfully early to come get you and mom, and I guess my stomach couldn't take all the excitement. After all, I couldn't wait to get my very own baby for Christmas! I even got this great stroller to push you around in. Oh yeah, I'm also sorry for running you into the wall in the stroller . . . I guess the corner is a little sharper than I thought! Anyway, you didn't really get hurt, or at least you didn't cry for very long . . . I really have loved having you as a sister, even if we did get off to a rocky start!
Love,
Sandy
