This is darling -- and I think it's wonderful that your friends rescued these dogs! My BFF just got ANOTHER Newfie rescue a couple weeks ago - so they went from zero to 250 pounds of dog in the last few months! LOL. There is a special place in Heaven for people who take in animals like this, IMO. Great LO, Karen!
you are way too hard on yourself about that title... I love the blingy arrow solution and think it looks great! Jill is so right that BB should be happy you use their product to such great effect! and you make me want to run right out and adopt a puppy too...if only I could
Karen I would have not put that together for the title! LOL! This picture is great and I love how you talk about her. It is quite evident you love these dogs but especially Susie! This layout is a wonderful depiction of the love everyone has for this dog! Great picture of her too, you can see a little of her playful side! I like how you did the tree with the gifts you gave it some dimension! Really cute layout, Bo bunny should feel lucky you used their stuff!
What a story, Karen! What a beautiful doggie Susie is; don't blame you for wanting to dognap her; look at that sweet face - LOL!! Shhhh, I won't tell! Love the title; so cute! Great layout!
I love the way it is too! I think the arrow was a great idea! And you friend for saving these puppies is a wonderful person! I love your layout it's gorgeous and what a gorgeous dog!
I love i! And your story is just wonderful...and they have to check out your car before you leave....just made me smile. Susie looks like such a sweet dog so I can understand why you would bond with her.
I really like this BoBunny page, Karen! Susie looks like a sweetheart! The little gingerbread man on the side is cute. I also like the inked Wish List and striped ribbon. You made me giggle when you said they have to check your car when you leave...I am the same when I visit a friend who has 5 cats...her cat Buster is my fav, and I feel like smuggling him home! LOL :)
Oh how sweet! Lovely page & the story behind it is so heartwarming. Yeah...not a big fan at all on Puppy Mills...how horrible--at least these guys had a happy ending...
Love your little tree and presents :o) And I'll be honest, I didn't think anything was wrong with the arrow... I didn't even notice that it pierced her :o) I think sometimes we are our own worst critiques!
This is so cute and what a sweet doggie. Love how you "pierced" her with the arrow. Great Christmas layout.
I loved reading the story...how funny they check your car.
If it makes any difference, I followed the arrow (assuming it went *behind* Susie, not through her!) to the word "Santa" and read it as "Susie Loves Santa". I read her wish list after reading the title and looking at the picture (she's so CUTE!), so your bling arrow worked as you intended! Good job!
This is Susie, sister and littermate of Heidi (LO I posted yesterday). She is sweet and timid and when she gets to know you, a big tease. For some reason, Susie and I are quite taken with each other. Right now, of all the dogs I know, Susie is the one I would most love to dognap! There is just something extraordinary about her that melts my heart. I've threatened to steal her many times, so Robin and the kids always check my car when I leave their house. (grin)
Susie and Heidi were part of a puppy mill rescue that Robin had heard about on the news. Adopting them from the midwest was like adopting children: references, background checks, etc. The rescuers even called her veterinarian! The puppies were flown from the midwest to San Francisco and Robin and Chase picked them up there. I HATE PUPPY MILLS! Thank God for people who care and are working to shut these obscene places down. There are legitimate, honorable breeders, but puppy mill owners are lower than pond scum in my book.
CREATIVE CRITIQUE: I was happy with this LO until I realized I messed up the title. It looked like it said, Susie {hearts} ALL I WANT FOR Christmas is..... So, I got the bright idea to make a bling arrow down to the word Santa. Now it looks like there's an arrow running through Susie's chest! Robin loves the page as is, so I will leave it alone. From now on, I will think twice before I nail my title work down. Sigh.
