Not too long ago, we took the front off of the convertible crib, and put a safety rail up on it because I had given up my search of a used car bed for Nick (let's face it for all the longer he will be in it $200 for a brand new bed for him seems extreme).
Of course just after we bought the safety rail, and made his crib into more of a toddler bed... I found a car bed for a price that we could NOT pass up. Today we put the bed in his room.
He wasn't super excited, but wasn't freaked out either (he wasn't feeling well today so his reaction was probably not what it would normally have been).
Now I have heard horror stories from others about the transition into a regular bed from the crib. Well here we are - he has been in the bed for 2 hours sound asleep as if nothing was different. Hopefully it stays that way :)
